After beginning the EuroLeague season with two defeats on the road, Barcelona combined its first Palau Blaugrana game with an 83 – 73 victory over Bayern Munich.

Ante Tomic (18 points, five rebounds, five assists) and Chris Singleton (15 points, five rebounds, three steals) had their top performances in the season and were the top contributors for Barcelona along with Jaka Blazic (11 points, five rebounds) who emerged as an x-factor for his team, especially in the third period.

With the score 55 – 50, Blazic was the protagonist in a sequence of plays on both ends of the floor, giving an extra “punch” to his teams with some key defenses plus scoring and creation on offense. Thanks to this impact, Barca closed the third quarter up 65 – 54.

Bayern fell back even by 14 points in the fourth period but reacted to cut it into single digits 76 – 69 with four minutes remaining. Then Kyle Kuric hit his first basket of the game, a 3-pointer that put his team at a safe distance and shut Bayern Munich’s dreams.

Maodo Lo scored 16 points and Vladimir Lucic 12 for Bayern. The latter also had four boards. Danilo Barthel added 11.
