Maccabi Tel Aviv escaped with the 78-68 win from Podgorica after defeating Buducnost Voli in Round 3 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. The Israeli squad sealed its first victory of the season, pushing the hosts to a 0-3 record.

It was a special night for Scottie Wilbekin, who managed to finish with a career-high performance on many levels. Not only did he break his personal best in points scored with his 28 points tonight, but also surpassed his personal record in PIR, with 28 points.

While Buducnost managed to stay close throughout the first half and even held its ground in the third period, Maccabi managed to get ahead with a 9-0 run early in the final period, that was meant to seal the fate of the game.

Edwin Jackson tried to push the hosts to their first victory in the competition in years with his 13-point performance, though Wilbekin’s force in Podgorica couldn’t be stopped.
