James Augustine has decided to retire from professional action, as he confirmed on Sunday.

James Augustine is retiring from action, as he announced on Spanish media Movistar during Valencia‘s game against Barcelona.

“In summer I thought it was too much. Now I am enjoying life after basketball”, as he mentioned, sitting in the stands of the arena next to Joel Freeland.

Augustine, 34, has left an impact on European basketball with his imposing 2.08m. figure, in teams like CSKA Moscow, Khimki, Gran Canaria, Valencia, Murcia and lastly Unicaja.

He was the 41st pick in the second round of the 2006 NBA draft, when he was selected by the Orlando Magic.

A 2015 EuroCup champion with Khimki and a 2017 VTB League champion with CSKA, Augustine goes out fulfilled.
