Former EuroLeague champion Joe Arlauckas, whose enthusiasm is well known to EuroLeague.TV viewers, hosts the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Podcast, which will be broadcast every two weeks during the season on iTunes, Audioboom and other platforms.

With a one-hour format of exclusive one-on-one interviews, Arlauckas goes well beyond the playing court with each podcast to delve into the life experiences that have made his guests who they are today – stars of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.

“I consider it a privilege to sit down with some of the best stars in basketball and talk about what makes them tick,” Arlauckas says. “I was in their shoes once – except for the coaches, thankfully! – so I know what it’s like to be under the microscope as you are trying to make your dreams and those of the fans come true. To listen to these great players and coaches open up on the podcast about their life stories, motivations and ambitions has been fascinating, and it adds another dimension to this game we all love.”

Joe’s first guest is none other than coaching great David Blatt of Olympiacos Piraeus, a former EuroLeague champion who has literally traveled the world in the service of basketball and thrived as a bench master in as many as six different countries.

“Here, it’s more about only the game, and in the NBA it’s about a lot more things,” Blatt says in the opening edition. “Now, this is not either good or bad. That’s the reality. It’s just the way it is.”

Upcoming editions of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Podcast will feature Nick Calathes of Panathinaikos OPAP Athens, Fabien Causeur of Real Madrid, and Jayson Granger of KIROLBET Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz, among others.
