A persistent problem for Olympiacos and some good news for Panathinaikos ahead of the teams’ upcoming EuroLeague battle.

Olympiacos guard Janis Strelnieks will most likely miss the upcoming EuroLeague edition of the Greek “derby of the eternal rivals” vs. Panathinaikos Friday (9/11).

Strelnieks is still sidelined due to a right adductor strain and thus Olympiacos head coach David Blatt is expected to not count on him for the game against the Greens.

In Panathinaikos‘ camp, forward Ioannis Papapetrou has recovered from some stomach problems that kept him out of Tuesday’s practice and he’s at coach Xavi Pascual’s disposal. Papapetrou will face former team Olympiacos for the first time since he signed with Panathinaikos in summer.

Olympiacos and Panathinaikos are both 3-2 in EuroLeague.
