Buducnost made 21 threes for a new EuroLeague record

Buducnost VOLI broke a EuroLeague record with 21 made three-pointers, in what was a memorable first win in this year’s EuroLeague against Baskonia.

Buducnost VOLI Podgorica enjoyed its first win of the new Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season, with an incredible offensive show against Kirolbet Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz.

The Montenegrin side knocked down a EuroLeague record 21 three-pointers (21/34) while they shot 61.8% from beyond the arc. Their amazing shooting night resulted in scoring 99 points. The previous record for most three-point field goals made was 19 and it had occurred twice during the last six years. On November 9, 2012, Montepaschi Siena scored 19 three-pointers against Asseco Prokom, while on March 29, 2018, FC Barcelona Lassa made also 19 three-pointers against Anadolu Efes.

Six players from Buducnost’s roster scored a three-pointer. Edwin Jackson made six of them, Danilo Nikolic four, Earl Clark four, Suad Sehovic three, Nikola Ivanovic and Coty Clarke two.
