During Real Madrid’s press conference ahead of EuroLeague Regular Season Round 8 home game with Herbalife Gran Canaria, Pablo Laso said that Sergio Llull won’t be ready to return to action for the next few days. The 30-year-old guard also missed the Blancos last game in ACB.

“We’re going to stop Sergi for more days. I can’t say how much. He was beaten in the area where he was injured last year, although it has nothing to do because the knee is perfect. It would be absurd to force a situation that could go further. It is simply a blow. He would kill me because he wants to play but we have thought that it is better for him to work apart from the group and recover at 100%. It’s nothing serious, but he must stop a few days. Trey (Thompkins) goes much better and we’ll see those who play tomorrow” Laso said.

Llull’s knee problem will prevent him from helping Real tomorrow. It might even cost him the trip to Greece for the EuroLeague Day 9 match with Olympiacos Piraeus on Thursday. It’s worth noting that on Sunday Real will face FC Barcelona Lassa in an ACB Round 10 away game.
