Sarunas Jasikevicius returned to Kaunas, but the fist thing that he was asked about was the issue with the clock in the game of Zalgiris aganst CSKA Moscow.

“It’s unpleasant, of course, it’s unpleasant”, said Saras. “But the committees have to deal with it now. I know that we will talk about it because such things can not happen in 2018. The club is preparing a statement, legally respond to everything, there are some committees that they will decide…”

Jasikevicius admitted that during the game, nobody realized what happened: “I did not notice. The referees also did not notice it, as usually the clock is closely observed until the attacking team passes the center of the court. I think Leo (ed.note: Westermann) reacted very well, because we were arranged to run a set play, but Leo noticed the situationand changed the play. It made me wonder why this happened, but he said he did not have time. Only after the match we found out why it happened”.

The fact that Zalgiris didn’t have the time to make a shot affecter the game according to Saras: “Of course, it absolutely did in that particular play”.

But when asked if the result would have been different, Zalgiris coach smiled: “We wll never know…”
