Coach David Blatt talked to Eurohoops after the reports about talks with Brandon Paul and while he admitted that Olympiacos is checking the market, he clarified that there’s nothing imminent on the table.
“Like every team, we are checking the market to see if there’s something that can make us better in such a long season during which we may have issues like injuries, but there’s nothing imminent at this point”, said Blatt.
So far not only Brandon Paul, but Jordan Theodore – who remains under contract with AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan despite his negotiations with Darussafaka – and also former Kentucky player Archie Goodwin have been mentioned as potential targets of Olympiacos. While all those players, and probably some more, have been offered to Olympiacos, the Reds have not decided yet if they will pull the trigger and make an addition.
