NBA Hall of Famer Dikembe Mutombo was present at the Menora Mivtachim Arena watching Maccabi Tel Aviv prevail against Bayern Munich in Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.
The hosts prepared a ceremony and handed a Maccabi jersey with No. 55 (the number Mutombo wore throughout his 18-year long NBA career) to the legendary ‘Big Man’:

The 52-year-old arrived in Jerusalem a few days earlier in order to kickstart a Jr. NBA’s youth basketball program for boys and girls (ages 6-14) as well as for the opening of the Sylvan Adams Sports Center at the Jerusalem YMCA.
