Former Atlanta Hawks guard Josh Magette is ready for his first taste of EuroLeague action. His agency announced that he will join Gran Canaria.

The 29-year-old American started the current season at Cedevita but was released on November 10th. He averaged six points, 5.3 assists and one rebound in three 7DAYS EuroCup games.

He also took part in two ABA League matches. His only previous European experience was with Koroivos in Greece during the 2014-15 season.

Last year he played in his first 18 NBA games averaging 2.6 points, 3.2 assists and 1.1 rebounds for the Hawks. However, the organization didn’t tender him a qualifying offer. He later joined the Golden State Warriors Summer League team and returned to Europe.

Magette’s career full profile.

Injury-plagued Gran Canaria has five wins in its first 14 EuroLeague matches. The team is also struggling in the ACB as its 4-8 start proves.
