Panathinaikos is ready to pull the trigger and sign one more backcourt player.

Sean Kilpatrick has an almost done deal with Panathinaikos, however, the Greek club has also advanced talks with James Nunnally according to numerous Greek media reports. The former EuroLeague champion with Fenerbahce was just released by the Timberwolves and it’s up to coach Rick Pitino to decide who will be the chosen one.

It has to be noted that Panathinaikos, in theory, was also in the market for a big man, however, at this point it seems that the immediate addition will be a backcourt player. Coach Pitino is more than familiar with Kilpatrick since the college days of the player with Cincinnati, however, Panathinaikos needs also a boost in three-point shooting and Nunnally is considered the better shooter.

The final decision is expected to be made soon, still, none of the two players is expected to be used in this week’s EuroLeague games.
