Fenerbahce ended the double-game week in EuroLeague on a high note with a victory against Zalgiris. Coach Zeljko Obradovic analyzed what went through for his team during the past few days at the press conference that followed the game: “We left behind a very difficult period. Four matches in 8 days. I congratulate my players for their struggle during this period, and they fought all over in four games. It’s true that we didn’t play well at some moments, but I’m glad we didn’t give up. Today we played against a very tough and aggressive team. They played with full pressure, with constant rigidity. We had to be ready for that”.

As for the team’s motivation to play four games in eight days: “Keeping motivation on top level is not easy. Because we’re starting from scratch every time. But my players love basketball. We work with our team to take responsibility where necessary and raise the team’s performance”, commented Obradovic.

“We need more charter flights to secure that the players will be more comfortable. Not always, when playing in Athens for example, it’s not needed, it’s one hour away, but for games in Moscow or Gran Canaria, we need to secure that players are comfortable. I will talk with the administration about it.”
