Juan Carlos Navarro is now looking for Barcelona’s future working on the youth academy of the Spanish club. However, he still believes he could have helped the Catalans as a member of the first team’s squad this season. One day before Barca retires his jersey during the EuroLeague Regular Season Round 24 game against Real Madrid, La Bomba reflected on the end his playing career talking to Mundo Deportivo.
“I feel much better now. The first few months were hard. My exit was far from ideal, from what everyone wanted. It has already been said that the club could have approached the situation differently. I have already mentioned that I could have extended my career for one more year, but I’m positive looking forward and trying to help in another way” he mentioned.
Navarro added: “I still believe that at some point I could have helped. The team has improved since. These things occur in the end. I believe retiring is difficult for everyone. It’s already a reality and I must look forward”.
