Panathinaikos will waive center Adreian Payne. The player will sign with French club ASVEL Villeurbanne as Gabriel Pante-Jouve of BeBasket first reported and Eurohoops can confirm.
Payne joined Panathinaikos in mid-January, returning to the team following a stint in the second half of 2017-2018. In four EuroLeague games this season, the American player averaged 2.5 points and 3.0 rebounds over 6:49 minutes.
ASVEL is competing for a spot in the EuroCup semifinals Wednesday (13/3). If the French team beats Andorra at home, then Payne will continue the season playing in EuroCup as well as the Pro A League.
