Baskonia swingman Matt Janning will be out of action for the next six weeks, the club announced. The player suffered a plantar fascia micro-fracture on his right foot.
Janning will essentially miss the rest of the EuroLeague regular season that is concluded on April 5 and will also be out for most of the playoffs, if Baskonia advances to the stage.
Baskonia, that is already without forward – plus team captain – Tornike Shengelia and guard Jayson Granger, is currently at the seventh spot in the standings with a 13 – 12 record.
Janning has been averaging 10.8 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists this EuroLeague season.
