After getting injured at Milan, Vasilis Spanoulis will miss the two upcoming EuroLeague games of Olympiacos next week against Bayern Munich at home and Gran Canaria on the road.

It’s a huge blow for Olympiacos, which is also currently missing Janis Strelnieks also due to injury. The team has only three available guards at the moment in the faces of Nigel Williams-Goss, Briante Weber and Vangelis Mantzaris.

The condition of Spanoulis’ right ankle will be re-evaluated next week and the extent of his absence from the action can be longer. Olympiacos is currently tied with Panathinaikos on the eighth position of the EuroLeague standings with a 13-13 record.
