The 211 cm tall guard Aleksej Pokusevski stepped on the court for Olympiacos with 51 seconds remaining on the clock in the EuroLeague Round 27 game against Bayern Munich and engraved his name in the club’s history.

Pokusevski became the youngest ever Olympiacos player to debut in EuroLeague at 17 years and 83 days old passing Giorgos Printezis who debuted at the age of 17 years and 229 days.

The Serbian youngster even managed to fill the stat sheet in the short time he spent on the floor. Pokusevski drew a foul by Derrick Williams after which he made one of the two free throws. He also grabbed two rebounds and dished an assist.

Pokusevski is not registered to play in the Greek League because he counts as a non-local player due to his Serbian nationality and Olympiacos can’t afford to give him one of the six available spots yet. Nonetheless, the 17-year-old is considered one of the biggest NBA prospects of his age in Europe and is expected to get a chance in the domestic league as well in the future.
