FC Bayern kept its season alive with a huge 73-71 victory over visiting FC Barcelona Lassa thanks to Petteri Koponen’s game-winner at the buzzer in Round 28 of Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. Bayern really used its last shot to keep its playoffs battle alive and made the most of its homecourt in Munich to improve to a 13-15 record.

Phenomenal Vladimir Lucic (7 points) turned the tide of the game right after the hosts tied the score to 67 points and with a three-pointer, he set the crowd on fire with 10 seconds remaining in the game, while Petteri Koponen (14 points) sealed the final result at the buzzer.

Bayern used a great comeback into the game in the last period and was also paced by Devin Booker’s 14-point performance.

Ante Tomic paced the visitors’ effort with 13 points, five rebounds and three assists across 23 minutes on the court, while Chris Singleton and Thomas Heurtel also scored in double digits, with 12 and 13 points each.

With this result, Barcelona, that already advanced to the playoffs in the previous round, didn’t manage to secure the homecourt advantage as part of the Top 4 teams in the campaign, and Anadolu Efes can rest assured in the fourth position.
