Paulius Motiejunas was interviewed by Donatas Urbonas for 24sek prior to Game 2 of the EuroLeague playoffs series between Zalgiris Kaunas and Fenerbahce Beko. The Lithuanian side secured the victory on the road to knot the best-of-five series at one apiece, but good news keeps on coming for the Zalgiris faithfuls.

Motiejunas, the GM of the successful club, confirmed that Sarunas Jasikevicius is already in the process of building his squad for the 2019-20 campaign noting that the budget could be up to 11 million euros.

However, this does not mean that Saras will stay with the team. He may leave if he wants to and the NBA can be a possible destination. On a potential approach from an NBA team for the 43-year-old’s services, he added: “It’s hard to predict NBA market, so I won’t be surprised if Jasikevicius will get NBA head coaching job next summer.”

On the difficulties of keeping the current top players, he pointed out: “Brandon Davies gets few times less money than his market value. It’s normal for him to go where the money will be. I only refer to Brandon as an example.”
