Fenerbahce General Manager Maurizio Gherardini talked about the upcoming EuroLeague Final Four and what has the club achieved since he and coach Zeljko Obradovic joined the team.
“We are preparing to experience the Final Four week which is the most exciting week for us. It’s the stamp of the success of the season. It’s a very nice feeling to be there for five years in a row. This is a case for all teams. On the biggest stage, you will perform with the best teams. All teams start with the same goal but the best are going to the Final Four. We all want to enjoy the Final Four,” Gherardini said in the Media Day ahead of the Final Four.
“It has been a very special journey for me,” Gherardini added. “When I was in the NBA, the opportunity appeared to come here and work with Obradovic. I’ve seen so much we can build ahead of us. One day we had a goal to go to the Final Four. We had great seasons, in terms of development. There were moments, I was so proud. The club has evolved in every sense. The fans have evolved. They’ve learned to make a better bond with us. Combining all those, factors, including Obradovic and the players, everything is very beautiful.”
