VITORIA-GASTEIZ– Fenerbahce Beko forward Nikola Kalinic said that he completely justifies his Serbian national team teammate Nikola Jokic in the case the latter decides to skip the World Cup.

Jokic said that he still doesn’t know if he will play in the World Cup and that his decision will be determined by various factors.

“I totally understand him,” Kalinic told Eurohoops. “He’s tired after the season. He has his own reasons to play or not to play. It’s his decision. He’s a young player so I don’t think anybody should be harsh on him. Even if he doesn’t play, he’s 24 years old. So he can play ten more years for the national team. However he feels, I would like for him to play. Everyone is going to be better if he’s playing. If he doesn’t playing, I’ll respect that.”
