“We feel fu–ked,” Llull told Eurohoops when asked how he feels the day after his team’s defeat. “It is clear that we wanted to play tomorrow at 20:30. We must try to finish this Euroleague year winning against a great team like Fenerbahce.”
Instead of the Final, Llull and his teammates will play for the third place in the Final Four.
“This game doesn’t make much sense,” Llull said. “The calendar is long and demanding enough to put one more game. It’s a game where you don’t play for anything, but that’s the competition. Let’s play it, try to make a great game and win.”
Last night, Llull’s lackluster performance in the semifinal became a trending topic in Spain. Former Real Madrid player Luka Doncic tweeted a message of support towards Llull, writing: “I see many people criticizing LLULL … He, who has given everything for this club and has worked like an animal to return! Remember everything that has brought to Madrid! He should be an example for every player who plays this beautiful sport! Sergi, I love you and we love you ”
“Yes, it is always nice that a teammate defends you in some way,” Llull said. “With Luka we have a very good relationship. He’s a phenomenon both on and off the court and I appreciate it.”
