An injury cut Janis Strelnieks’ 2018-19 campaign short, but didn’t reduce his value in the European basketball market. Per Eurohoops sources, he received a solid two-year offer from Valencia, 7DAYS EuroCup Champions and one of the 18 EuroLeague teams for the next season.

A couple of summers ago, the 29-year-old Latvian guard signed a two-year contract with Olympiacos, which is now coming to an end. As a free agent, he will consider any offers from sides interested in his services including the proposal from the Spanish team.

Before suffering his season-ending injury, Strelnieks averaged 8.8 points, 2 dimes and 1.9 rebounds per EuroLeague contest. He also had 6.3 points, 2.8 assists and 1.5 boards per game in the Greek Basket League.
