Kyle Hines has been with CSKA Moscow since 2013, but hopes to extend his tenure with the Russian club beyond the 2018-19 season. During his sixth campaign with CSKA, he helped his team win both the EuroLeague and the VTB United League titles, but certainly wants to contribute even more. He talked about his future with Izvestia.

Asked about his free agency, CSKA’s captain replied: “You should pose this question to my manager. I would like to stay with CSKA, but it isn’t only up to me and my wishes.”

Afterwards talked about Cory Higgins’ departure: “Big loss for the team and for me personally. For four years, he became my guy, we went through a lot together. I might be sad we won’t be teammates anymore, but I’m happy he secured the contract he wanted.”

The 32-year-old American forward/center also touched on the roster CSKA will feature during the upcoming season of Europe’s premier competition. “I am sure CSKA will remain competitive in the EuroLeague” he pointed out.

Hines averaged 7.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists in the previous EuroLeague season. He also had 7.5 points per match in the VTB United League Regular Season and added 7.3 points, 3 rebounds and 2.1 assists in the Playoffs.
