Alba Berlin and head coach Aito Garcia Reneses have agreed on a one-year contract extension according to German magazine BIG.
Reneses had signed a two-year deal with Alba in 2017. This season, the veteran Spanish coach led the team to the EuroCup Finals for the second time in the history of the club and named Coach of the Year.
Alba also made the German League Finals for the second year in a row and secured a spot in the 2019-2020 EuroLeague. Reneses will return coaching in the top-tier continental competition for the first time since 2011, when he was at the helm of Spanish club Unicaja Malaga.
