The Icelandic big man departs from Valencia after spending the 2018-19 season on loan to Obradoiro.

Valencia Basket announced that they part ways with Icelandic center Tryggvi Hlinason on Sunday.

21-year-old Hlinason joined Valencia in summer of 2017 from Thor Akureyri of his native country with a four-season contract. In his first season with the Spanish team, he participated in 28 games between Liga Endesa and Turkish Airlines Euroleague.

Hlinason spent the 2018-19 season on loan to Monbus Obradoiro, where he played 33 games in the Spanish League with an average of 3.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.5 PIR in 13 minutes.
