Two more years for Semen Antonov with CSKA Moscow.

CSKA Moscow announced on Monday the contract extension for Semen Antonov up to the conclusion of the 2020-21 season. The 29-year-old Russian forward joined his current team in 2016 signing a two-year contract with an option for the 2018-19 season, now signed for a couple of additional campaigns.

Antonov helped his side win the EuroLeague with 1.4 points and 1 rebound per contest in 21 appearances during the 2018-19 season. With 8.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1 assist per VTB United League Playoffs match he aided his team capture one more title, previously averaged 5.7 points and 2.2 rebounds in the Regular Season.

Commenting on his player remaining part of his squad, Dimitris Itoudis said: “I am happy to continue working with Semen, a great man and team-first player. The previous seasons he improved both on the court and as a personality, so it will great to continue seeing him in a CSKA jersey.”

Antonov added: “I am happy to stay with CSKA. I want to thank the management for offering me a new contract, the coach that believes in me and my teammates that support me in good and bad moments. Looking forward to the new season, because we will have to defend our title.”
