Zarko Varajic, the player who scored the most points ever in a single-game final for the continental club title passed away at the age of 67 in Belgrade, Serbia this Sunday.
As Bosna emerged to the continental title in 1979, Varajic scored 45 points against -then reigning champion- Varese, making history.
A silver medalist with Yugoslavia in the 1976 Olympics in Montreal and a EuroBasket champion (1977, Belgium), Varajic involved himself in basketball even after the end of his professional career, as a Deputy Federal Minister of Sports among other activities.
