According to reports by SuperDeporte, Valencia‘s main target for the guard position is 2018-19 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague champion with CSKA Moscow Sergio Rodriguez. Per the same report the two sides are in advanced talks.
The Spanish club had already tried to sign him in summer of 2017, but then Rodriguez penned a two-year deal with CSKA. The Army Team has the contract option for next season, thus both him and Valencia will have to wait until a decision is taken in order to proceed.
A few weeks ago, the Spanish guard opened up about his current situation with the reigning EuroLeague champions, stating that the team “hasn’t made it clear” that they want to keep him.
