FC Bayern Munich reached a new agreement with forward Alex King, who re-signed his contract for three more years, until the end of the 2021-22 season, the club announced Tuesday. King (2.00 meters, 34 years old) averaged 0.7 points in 11 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games last season, his third with the club. He started his professional basketball career with Eintracht Frankfurt and played for other German teams, such as Skyliners Frankfurt, Telekom Baskets Bonn, s.Oliver Baskets Wuerzburg and ALBA Berlin. King helped Bayern win the German League title in each of the last two seasons, and also lifted the German Cup trophy in 2018. He won another German League title with Skyliners in 2004, as well as lifting the German Cup trophy with ALBA in 2014 and 2016. King has also been a member of the German national team.

“I am very grateful to stay three more years with Bayern. We have celebrated great success together in the few years and are hungry for more,” King said after the agreement. I am very happy to face my next challenges as an athlete, and hope to acquire knowledge that will allow me to develop myself professionally after my career. Thank you to those responsible of helping me become an integral part of Bayern’s family.”
