Real Madrid announced the addition of reigning Spanish ACB League MVP Nicolas Laprovittola on a deal until 2021. The “Blancos” reached an agreement with Joventut Badalona to acquire the Argentian guard.

Laprovittola comes off possibly the top season of his professional career so far. The 29-year-old player averaged 17.2 points, 6.4 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 17.2 PIR in the ACB regular season to lead Badalona to a playoffs return for the first time in four years. He was unanimously voted as MVP of the league.

By signing with Real Madrid, Laprovittola will become a teammate of Argentinian national team teammate Facu Campazzo. He will also return to EuroLeague where he last played with Baskonia in 2017.
