Baskonia announced that the club and French All-EuroLeague center Vincent Poirier have reached an agreement to part ways for the player to “start a new stage in his professional career.”
Poirier, 25, has been reported to be signing his first NBA contract with the Boston Celtics.
In 2018-2019, Poirier averaged 11.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 0.8 blocks in 25;38 minutes over 34 EuroLeague games. He was the league’s rebounding leader and made the All-Euroleague Second Team.
Poirier leaves Baskonia after two seasons and 150 games overall in EuroLeague and the Spanish ACB League.
