Zalgiris Kaunas announced on Sunday that 22-year-old Martynas Varnas and 26-year-old Donatas Sabeckis were released from their contracts. Both Lithuanians are now free agents.
Varnas launched his career with the Lithuanian champions and made it briefly to the first team, but saw more action on loan to other sides. Last year he was with Nevezis Kedainiai averaging 7.4 points and 2.8 rebounds per contest
Sabcekis joined Zalgiris last summer signing a 1+1 contract. He spent his 2018-19 season on loan to MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg. The 26-year-old swingman averaged 6.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists.
