While Euroleague was celebrating the 15 years of its league, B92.net leaked FIBA’s plans for the new format of the Euroleague and the Eurocup.

The International Basketball Federation announced a 38-page plan, where there is analysis of nine different competition systems of the Euroleague and two of the Eurocup. Fiba presented in details the participating teams in any case, the competition system, the pros and the cons of each plan. Moreover, there are all the possible dates of the games for the next three years!

The innovations that will be presented in any case is the mid-term exopansion in to Middle East (Lebanon, Qater, Jordan, Iran) and North Africa (Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Maroco). In addition, FIBA plans to held a tournament at the end of the season between the NBA champion, the Euroleague, the Americas league, Asian etc.
