Reigning EuroLeague Top Scorer Mike James said that he hasn’t talked to any team following the official termination of his contract with Olimpia Milano Monday (29/7).
“I appreciate all the love and outpour of fans. At this point, I don’t know where I’m going and I haven’t talked to teams. I’ll take this time with my family to figure out the next best move for my future. Thanks, everybody,” James tweeted. The American guard received numerous messages of support by fans on social media.
James and Milano reached an agreement to rescind their deal and make the player a free agent. Milano head coach Ettore Messina had stated that James doesn’t fit his 2019-2020 plan for the “Red Shoes”, following the acquisition of former NBA guard Shelvin Mack and the expected arrival of former EuroLeague MVP Sergio Rodriguez.
