Two halves, two stories for Milano.

Olimpia Milano defeated Cosi Casale 76 – 73 in the opening game of the “Castelletto Ticino” preseason tournament.

Kaleb Tarczewski posted a double-double of 25 points plus 12 rebounds for Milano and Deivydas Dulkys dropped 11 points. Sergio Rodriguez added eight points and seven assists while Shelvin Mack also dished out seven dimes to go with his four points.

The “Red Shoes” went up 39 – 22 in the second period and closed halftime up 41 – 26. Casale reacted after the break and with three minutes left, the score went 68 – 68. A triple by Rodriguez plus a bucket courtesy of Tarczewskihanded Milano the win.

Milano was without injured Arturas Gudaitis and Nemanja Nedovic, plus Paul Biligha, Jeff Brooks, Amedeo Della Valle and Michael Roll who are currently in China to play in the World Cup.

Casale was missing Davide Denegri.
