Olympiacos bid goodbye to David Blatt earlier on Sunday and Zalgiris coach Sarunas Jasikevicius commented on this decision after Zalgiris‘ game against Lietkabelis.
“Now it’s in fashion to cut the coach. Of course, I’m not inside the club and maybe we don’t know something. But this is the easiest way. Sometimes it helps, but I’m not sure if the lack of patience leads to better results,” said Jasikevicius as adapted by Donatas Urbonas.
Blatt exited Olympiacos after the team’s first EuroLeague game, a defeat to Lyon Villeurbanne on the road this past Friday.
