No miracle come back was made this time. Real Madrid got the 78-59 win over Olympiacos, being clearly the better team and winning the 9th Euroleague title in the history of the club. No other team in Europe has reached this number.

Even if 20 years has passed since its last triumph and after two lost finals in 2013 and 2014, Real finally did it. Olympiacos after a 12-0 run in the third quarter got a 41-40 lead, but Real reacted, Jaycee Carroll scored 11 straight points and the Reds couldn’t get back.

The closer Olympiacos could get was at seven points (62-55) in the middle of the last quarter. The rest of the game was all about Madrid. Carroll had in total 16 points, however veteran Andres Nocioni was the MVP with 12 points and 7 rebounds, giving energy and spirit to his team. Matt Lojeski had 17 points for Olympiacos but couldn’t do much else with Spanoulis staying at 3 points, 3 assists and 4 turnovers.
