After parting ways with coach Milan Tomic, Crvena Zvezda mts held a press conference and among other things, club president Nebojsa Covic also revealed the 2019-20 season budget which is 8.3 million euros:

“Our budget this season will be 8.3 million euros. We can’t have a smaller budget than 5.5 million. This budget also includes obligations from last season, which we have fully settled. Compared to Euroleague rivals, where CSKA has 40.7 million euros, Khimki 33.3 million, Zenit 26.6…”, he said, per Basketball Sphere.

Serbia’s finance minister Sinisha Mali recently announced that Zvezda received around 1.6 billion Serbian dinars (around 13.5 million euros) without VAT (value added tax) over the course of five years (2014-2019).

Covic confirmed the numbers and also noted that the currently highest-paid player in the team has a salary of 500,000 euros while adding: “Our rivals have more paid players, but each manages its own policy.”
