One of the most critical players of Zenit St. Petersburg is expected to miss at least this week’s games.

Mateusz Ponitka got injured in yesterday’s practice, and according to the club, “he is going to miss 7-12 days due to muscle hit”.

To be exact, Ponitka will be out of action in today’s game against Valencia Basket and also against KIROLBET Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz.

Zenit is hosting Real Madrid next week. However, Ponitka’s presence remains highly doubtful.

In eight Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games this season, Ponitka is averaging 10.1 ppg and 4.5 rpg.
