Nikola Kalinic finished Fenerbahce Beko’s Super Ligi Regular Season Round 9 contest opposite to Darussafaka Tekfen with a broken nose. A few hours after Sunday’s game, Fener announced that he will undergo surgery on Monday without adding a specific timetable for his recovery.
In nine EuroLeague appearances so far this season, the Serbian forward averaged 5.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. As for his BSL outings, on Sunday improved to 12.3 points per match to go along with his 3.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds per contest.
Fenerbahce is currently 3-7 in Europe’s premier club competition, three wins behind the playoffs zone, will host Khimki Moscow Region on Thursday. Zeljko Obradovic’s side is 8-1 in the Turkish League as well.
