Fenerbahce Beko is poised to add a guard to Zeljko Obradovic’s squad and seems set to complete the transfer within the next days, according to Eurohoops sources.

After inking Malcolm Thomas, the Turkish club wishes to further strengthen its season-turnaround bid with an additional acquisition. Down 5-10 in EuroLeague, the club based in Istanbul hopes to get back on track as soon as possible.

Former Fener player, James Nunnally was among the players approached, but complications became apparent on the 29-year-old swingman leaving the Chinese CBA and the Shanghai Sharks at the current stage of the season.

With the deadline on registered EuroLeague players moving to another team of Europe’s premier competition approaching, Fenerbahce is gaining ground on an immidiate backcourt boost. However, the incoming player will not necessarily make the jump from another EuroLeague club.
