Euroleague Basketball has announced disciplinary sanctions pertaining to incidents that occurred in Round 16 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague regular season.

According to the press release: “The sanctions are based on infractions of the competition bylaws that all teams are aware of and obliged to fulfill”.

  • Panathinaikos OPAP Athens has been sanctioned with a fine of 2,000€ for the throwing of objects onto the playing court on occasion of its home game against Real Madrid under Article 29.2.h) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.
  • Svetislav Pesic, head coach of FC Barcelona has been sanctioned with a fine of 6,000€ for the lack of respect towards the officiating crew on occasion of its home game against Olympiacos Piraeus under Article 27.2.b) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.
