Turbulent times for Olympiacos as Will Cherry is expected to leave and coach Kestutis Kemzura’s job hangs in the balance, while Vasilis Charalampopoulos returns to the team from a loan and Milutinov may be back in action faster than expected.

Will Cherry – who has been posting 5.4 points, two boards, and 1.7 assists over 13 EuroLeague games – is expected to be released by the club due to an incident with Wade Baldwin in Sunday’s practice.

This might not be the only departure from the team roster since Baldwin’s future with the team is in question.

Also, coach Kestutis Kemzura has been in the ‘hot seat’ as Olympiacos lost five out of the last six EuroLeague matches, and his job might be on the line in the next couple of games. Olympiacos faces Valencia on the road on January 10.

Meanwhile, after 14 games he played on a loan with Ionikos, Vasilis Charalampopoulos returns to Olympiacos. The 22-year-old forward has been averaging 11.7 points, 4.9 boards, 1.5 assists, and one steal so far this season.

The only really good news for Olympiacos at this point is that there’s a chance for Nikola Milutinov to return faster than expected and not miss the next three weeks of action.
