Fenerbahce is losing a forward to the NBA with Nemanja Bjelica leaving for Minessota, also Turkish center Semih Erden is trying to persue an NBA come back, but an other European may end up in Istanbul from the NBA.
The Turkish club has initiated contact with Italian sharp shooter Gigi Datome. The free agent from the Boston Celtics wants to stay in the NBA and he is going to test the market there, however he knows that Fenerbahce is also waiting for him.
No offer have been made yet by the Turkish team to the player, but the interest is strong and even if he is a very different player compared to Bjelica, he can be a great weapon for the Turks in Euroleague. Barcelona is also interested on Datome‘s services.
