Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul announced the addition of forward Luigi Datome for the next two seasons as the Italian returns from the NBA to Europe with a four millions dollars total salary for the next two years. The contract includes also an option for the 2017-18 season.
Datome (2.03 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Boston of the NBA, where he averaged 4.7 points in 21 games. He had an eventful 2014-15 season in which he also played for Detroit of the NBA and Grand Rapids of the D-League. He had appeared in Euroleague for five seasons as a member of Rome and Siena.
Eurohoops reported first the interest of Fenerbahce/ Ulker for the player, which was the main suitor for his services in Europe.
