The most strange summer serial by far is the flirt of Stephane Lasme with Panathinaikos. The two sides are near a deal again, despite the fact that on Friday they have cut every communication!
So where are we today, on Sunday 26th of July? We have to mention the date because everything about Lasme changes almost hour by hour. Galatasaray has increased its offer and as we had reported the deal between the two sides was considered almost sealed. With Panathinaikos the situation was more than complicated.
As it was leaked, the negotiations had ended with a negative result, because the player didn’t accept a special clause in his contract to be punished with a fine, if he failed a drug test. Many Greek media, some of them directly connected with Panathinaikos, reported that this was the reason that blocked any possible deal.
Until Saturday night, it was obvious that Lasme was ready to finally sign with Galatasaray, but Panathinaikos when nobody was expecting it – maybe because Mejri is heading to Dallas – initiated again the talks with their former center and now anything can happen. Αfte all it seems that Lasme likes the idea to return to Athens, so nobody can predict the final outcome of this long serial.
