Ike Ofoegbu is close to sign with Maccabi Tel-Aviv, as the team adds another player to its front-line lately.
The Nigerian center was close to reach an agreement with Estudiantes , but he didn’t sign a contract with the Spanish team and as a result, it seems he will soon join the Israelis. Maccabi is concerned about the gaps the squad has and the injuries that the players of the front-line are facing, so the team acquires another center with a season-long contract, after Arinze Onuaku.
Apart from that, there is already plenty of criticism for Maccabi’s recent performances and although it’s still early in the season, it’s not unlikely that there can be some changes in the team.
UPDATE: Late at Tuesday night, Maccabi announced the signing with Ofoegbu.
