Fenerbahce had the control for the entire game and was the winner of the big game against Real Madrid in Instanbul 77-66. For the Turkish team, this was the second victory in Group A, while Pablo Laso’s team suffered their second defeat.

For the winners, Luigi Datome and Ekpe Udoh both scored 15 points, while Felipe Reyes was the top scorer for the losing  squad with 15 points, as his team had a terrible percentage from the three-point range (6/28, 21%).

In the first half, Fenerbahce quickly took a seven-point lead (13-6), however Real Madrid responded gradually and cut the deficit to just two points at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Turks made an 11-4 run and took a nine-point advantage (31-22) and retained it until the end of the first half (35-27, 39-32), as the Spaniards had a very low percentage from the three-point range (17%, 3/17).

In the second half, Zeljco Obradovic‘s team retained a double-digit lead (45-35, 52-39), but the Madrid side tried to come back again with back-to-back three-point shots (52-45). The Turkish team ended the first quarter in front by seven (63-56). In the final quarter, Real Madrid made its effort to come back again, but the Turks remained solid and retained a significant lead (73-62). The Spaniards missed some crucial field goals and, consequently, Fenerbahce secured an important victory.
